Sixty languages and counting
The translation world is a many splendoured mix of languages, each with its subtleties, lexicons and turns of phrase.
See below to find a language combination that GAT could help you communicate better in. We’ve listed the combinations we’ve most worked on, but many more combinations are available. If a language that interests you is not listed, do not hesitate to contact us. And remember that we translate in both directions e.g. English to Dutch or Dutch to English.
From English (CDN, UK, US) to:
- Chinese (Traditional, Simplified)
- French (Canadian, European)
- Portuguese (Brazilian, European)
- Spanish (Lat.Am., European)
- And more!
Spanish translation services – Now more than ever
One of the fastest growing commercial language segments in the world is Spanish. If you are doing business in North, Central or South America you would be well advised to include Spanish and/or Portuguese in your marketing communication.
There is no question that the Spanish influence in the United States is considerable and growing. Localizing your message to this market in their first language is an absolute necessity in border states.
South America and particularly Brazil is emerging as the next American powerhouse. Are you prepared for the economic outburst from the 2016 Olympics in Rio? It’s going to change the global face of this dynamic country of almost 200 million people. And Argentina is attracting waves of tourists attracted to their summer season and Italian-inspired fine wines.
Stay abreast of emerging markets
Clearly the impact of Chinese, Indian and other South Asian economies is changing the economic order in the world. Not to mention Africa. If you want to be there, you’ve got to speak the language. And we can help.
The world is our office
At GAT virtually any translation language is possible. And even though we are based in one of the most multilingual cities in Canada, we rely on our global network of translation service associates to help us properly localize your message.
As small point of credibility for our translation teams, it should be noted that most of our personnel speak and write a minimum of two or more languages. So they have first hand knowledge of the nuances that can exist when it comes to translation.
French translation services – Where it all began
GAT was founded as a French translation service in 1995 when the demand for French translation was in high demand in Canada. Even though many of our clients still look to us for French services, we have grown well beyond this unilingual service offering.
However, the Canadian bilingual experience gave us first hand experience for our move to global localization. We moved from our original office in Toronto to Montreal in order to be “local” when providing Canadian French services. By being in Quebec, we stay up to date with the ever-evolving nature of the French language.
The same principle applies to our associates.
